Gardaí hold man in connection with €30k ecstasy haul

Around €30,000 worth of ecstasy tablets were recovered in a raid in north Dublin, detectives said today.

A 25-year-old man was arrested during the planned operation at Kinsealy.

He was taken to Swords garda station last night and detained for questioning under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

The man was later released in the early hours of this morning.

Investigating officers are preparing a file for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

“These searches took place as part ongoing enquiries into the sale and supply of drugs in the Swords area of Dublin,” said a Garda spokesman.

“Subject to analysis, the estimated value of the drugs seized is €30,000.”
