The chief executive of the Irish Cancer Society has said the Health Minister does not fully grasp the consequences of her decision to scrap the roll out of a cervical cancer vaccine for young girls.

Earlier this month, Mary Harney abandoned plans to vaccinate all 12-year-old girls because of "very scarce health resources".
