Three quizzed over gun death

Three people were arrested today by detectives investigating the shooting dead of a man in west Dublin earlier this year.

One woman is among the trio being questioned about the killing of Richard McCormack, 29, at St Ronan’s Close in Clondalkin on March 8.

The two men arrested – aged 34 and 21 – and the woman, aged 32, were detained at Ronanstown this morning.

They are being held under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act in Lucan, Ronanstown and Clondalkin Garda stations.

Investigating officers have also renewed their appeal for information.

Mr McCormack was shot a number of times on the evening of March 8 and was pronounced dead on arrival at Tallaght Hospital.
