More cannabis found in Meath
A man and a woman were arrested today after a cannabis find in Meath.
Four hundred plants worth around €120,000 and linked to an organised crime gang were seized at a house in rural Co Meath.
Gardaí described the illegal factory as a sophisticated operation.
Officers from the Criminal Assets Bureau and Navan Garda Station raided the home in the Grennan area near Drumcondrath in a crackdown on the gang’s dealings in north Dublin and Meath.
A man and a woman, both aged in their 40s, arrested at the house were being questioned under section two of the Drugs Trafficking Act at Navan Garda Station.
In a separate raid today, gardaí found several dozen cannabis plants in the attic of a house in Bray, Co Wicklow.
The roofspace had been converted with light, heat and irrigation systems and gardai said the drugs haul was worth around €18,000.
A 23-year-old man and a woman aged 29 were detained at the Dargle Heights home.
