Suspect device found at halting site in Waterford

Gardai in Waterford are investigating the discovery of a suspected explosive device at a halting site in the city.

The device is believed to have been thrown into the site at Bilberry just after 11.30pm last night.

The area has been sealed off pending the arrival of army bomb disposal experts this morning.
