Justice Media Awards announced
Radio Kerry and Clare FM are among the winners of the Annual Justice Media Awards which are presented by the Law Society of Ireland.
John Cooke of Clare FM won the Justice Media Award in the 'court reporting category for broadcast media' for his coverage of the 'Lying Eyes - Ennis Hitman Case'.
Radio's Kerry's Deirdre Walsh of Kerry Today won the Justice Media Award for 'Laura's Story'.
Radio Kerry was also commended by the judging panel for bringing the disturbing and tragic human interest story to its audience.
The national radio category Justice Media Award went to Newstalk’s Declan Carty and John O'Donovan.
The awards are presented to journalists who report on matters of law in a manner that allows the reader, viewer or listener to more fully understand the issues and reach an informed opinion.
