Aer Lingus strike threat lifted after talks breakthrough

SIPTU has lifted the threat of industrial action at Aer Lingus next week after reaching a deal with the airline on its controversial €74m cost-cutting plan.

SIPTU members had voted for action after the company announced plans to shed around 1,300 jobs through outsourcing and redundancy.
