Health unions offer to find alternative to vaccine cut

Three of the main trade unions representing health service workers are offering to help find the money to fund the cervical vaccination programme for 12-year-old girls.

Health Minister Mary Harney scrapped the planned introduction of the programme earlier this month in an effort to save money in her department's budget.
