SIPTU results due on Aer Lingus job-cuts ballot

SIPTU is to announce the results of its ballot on industrial action later today, in the ongoing row over job cuts at Aer Lingus.

The airline is offering voluntary severance and early retirement schemes to its staff in an effort to cut nearly 1,500 jobs through out-sourcing.
