Rescue operation launched after fire on fishing vessel

A major rescue operation was launched off the coast of Co Galway this morning following a fire on board a Dutch-registered fishing vessel.

Twenty-six crew members were on board the vessel when the fire broke out in the engine room in the early hours of the morning.
