€6.5m worth of assets frozen by CAB last year

The Criminal Assets Bureau froze almost €6.5m worth of suspected criminal assets last year, according to figures published by the agency today.

In its latest annual report, the bureau says it also collected more than €10m in taxes and interest from suspected criminals during 2007.
