Amnesty welcomes Govt's action on extraordinary rendition

Human rights groups have welcomed the Government's decision to approach the incoming US administration on the issue of extraordinary rendition.

The move will ensure that Gardaí and airport authorities now have the power to search and inspect aircrafts.
