Drivers urged to be alert for trick-or-treaters

Road safety chiefs today issued a Halloween warning to motorists to drive carefully this evening as thousands of children in dark costumes will be trick-or-treating from house to house.

Because the clocks went back one hour less than a week ago, many drivers will also still be adjusting to early evening darkness on their journeys home from work.
