CCA adjourns Meehan appeal against severity of sentence

An appeal by Brian Meehan, the only person jailed for the murder of journalist Veronica Guerin, against the severity of the prison sentence he is currently serving has been adjourned by the Court of Criminal Appeal.

In July 1999 Brian Meehan (aged 43) from Crumlin in Dublin was jailed for life by the non-jury Special Criminal Court for the reporter's murder on June 26, 1996.
