A jury has been sworn in at the Central Criminal Court for the trial of a man accused of murdering a fellow inmate in Mountjoy Prison two years ago.

A jury has been sworn in at the Central Criminal Court for the trial of a man accused of murdering a fellow inmate in Mountjoy Prison two years ago.

Stephen Egan (aged 24) of Belcamp Crescent, Coolock, Dublin 5, pleaded not guilty to murdering 21 year-old Gary Douche at the prison on August 1, 2006.

Mr Justice Paul Carney told the jury the hearing would begin tomorrow morning.
