Dáil to debate bank-deposit guarantee scheme

The Dáil is set to debate the legislation governing the bank-deposit guarantee scheme later.

Banks will have to pay the Government €1bn over the next two years in return for the state guarantee - but the opposition has described this fee as "surprisingly low".
