A 16-year-old boy, whose worried family will not take him home because of his suicide attempts, has been further remanded in custody for a psychiatric assessment to take place.

The teenager was brought before the Dublin Children’s Court yesterday following his arrest for non-attendance of his case there previously. He had been facing charges for resisting arrest, engaging in threatening behaviour and failing to give a garda his name after he had been cautioned under the Public Order Act.
