Budget to secure recent gains, says Lenihan

Minister for Finance Brian Lenihan has announcing a range of measures aimed at tackling the current economic crisis in his Budget 2009 speech in the Dáil today.

He said the aim of the Budget was to restore order and stability in the public finances, to increase productivity and competitiveness and to protect those who are most vulnerable in our society.
