The roll-out of specialist breast check centres will top the agenda at a major cancer conference being held in Dublin today.

Independent charity, Europe Donna, is holding its second annual conference, which will be opened and addressed by the Health Minister, Mary Harney.

It comes at the end of a week that saw Mary Harney order an independent investigation into services provided at Ennis General Hospital in Co Clare.

Two women, Anne Moriarty and Edel Kelly, died from cancer earlier this year after being misdiagnosed at the hospital.
