Sinn Féin backs establishment of Truth Commission in the North

Sinn Féin has given its backing to the establishment of a Truth Commission in the North after consulting with rank-and-file republicans.

The decision is being interpreted as a sign that the IRA is prepared to co-operate with efforts to address the legacy of hurt caused by violence in the North.
