New garda speed-detection vehicles launched

Minister for Justice Dermot Ahern has launched a new fleet of garda speed-detection vehicles.

The eight units will be used to target motorists who breach speed limits in 700 black spots around the country.

The fleet will cost €700,000 to roll out.
