PSNI confirm live bomb in Armagh was touched by boy
Police in the North confirmed this afternoon that a young boy saw and touched the 100lb live bomb found in South Armagh at the weekend.
Dissident republicans have been blamed for planting the device, which was found near the village of Jonesboro on Saturday.
Acting PSNI Chief Superintendent Alan McCrumb said the bomb was within 200 metres of a children's play park.
The discovery of the device led to a two day security operation in the area, which is close to the border with Co Louth.
