Gardaí find explosives in Dublin
Gardaí have recovered an explosive device and shotgun cartridges at an electricity sub-station in Greenfort Gardens, Ronanstown, Dublin.
Detectives believe the stash was there for a number of days.
Although a number of lines of inquiry are being followed, they suspect the find may be connected to feuding criminal gangs.
The device and cartridges, wrapped in plastic, were discovered at around 12.45pm by Electricity Supply Board workers.
Army bomb experts made safe the explosive, which they described as viable, and the component parts were sent to the Garda Technical Bureau for forensic tests.
