Gardaí in Dublin have issued a fresh appeal for information about a raid on a Dublin Corporation parking meter van.

It happened on Kings Inns Street at around lunchtime on August 20 last.

A number of men threatened two security guards with knives and forced them into the rear of the van which was found a short time later on Dominick Street.

The security guards were unharmed but a number of cash boxes were taken.

Gardaí say they are specifically interested in speaking to a group of people who flagged down an unmarked Garda car on Kings Inns Street immediately after the robbery.
