Irish tourists stranded in Majorca

A flight travelling from the Spanish island of Majorca to Shannon Airport has been grounded because of a mechanical problem.

The Spanair flight was due to take-off from the island's Palma Airport at around 8am this morning.

It is not clear how many Irish holidaymakers are due to travel on the flight or when the flight will be able to take-off.
