PSNI officers attacked with stones and petrol bombs

PSNI officers have come under attack with stones and petrol bombs at the scene of a hit-and-run incident in Derry.

The officers were targeted after arriving on the scene of the incident in the nationalist Shantallow area at around 8pm last night.

The car involved in the hit-and-run was abandoned and set alight and the windscreen of a recovery vehicle was smashed during the violence, but there are no reports of any injuries.
