Dept seeking cutbacks in educational support

The Department of Education is reportedly seeking cutbacks in a key support system for disadvantaged school pupils.

Reports this morning say the department is seeking a 3% reduction in payroll costs in the school completion programme, which targets pupils at risk of leaving school early.
