Inquiry launched into loss of laptop from auditor's office

The Data Protection Commissioner has launched an investigation into the loss of a laptop from the office of the Comptroller and Auditor General.

The commissioner, Billy Hawkes, says the laptop contained personal details and was reported missing last month.

The role of the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General is to audit and report on the accounts of public bodies.
