Members of the Irish Farmers' Association are to protest over a likely World Trade Organisation deal outside the Taoiseach's constituency office in Co Offaly.

They want Brian Cowen to veto any deal struck because of the harm they claim it will cause Irish agriculture.

Negotiators from around the world are understood to be close to agreeing a new WTO agreement in Geneva after years of negotiations.
