Garda dies in shooting incident in Wexford

A garda has been killed in a shooting in a south-east garda station, it was confirmed tonight.

The incident occurred in Enniscorthy Garda Station at 4.15pm.

Investigating officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

It is understood it is being treated as a personal tragedy.

The dead man is believed to be a long serving member of An Garda Siochana.
