GOAL urges Govt not to cut overseas aid

The chief executive of GOAL is calling on the Government not to cut overseas aid as part of its efforts to rein in a massive budget deficit.

The Taoiseach Brian Cowen has refused to rule out cuts in aid due to the deterioration in the public finances.
