Junior Minister Peter Power has announced a €10m aid package for Malawi during a visit to the impoverished African country today

Mr Power, the minister with responsibility for overseas development, is also opening an Irish embassy in the Malawian capital, Lilongwe.

Ireland has given €27m in aid to Malawi since 2002.
