Truckers meet minister to discuss rising fuel prices

Representatives of the Irish Road Haulage Association are meeting Transport Minister Noel Dempsey today to discuss rising fuel prices.

Truckers are threatening to mount strike action at the end of this month unless measures are introduced to ease the pressure being caused by rising diesel prices.

The IRHA says spiralling prices are causing rebellion across Europe and Mr Dempsey should have an interest in sorting out the problem in Ireland before it gets out of control.
