CIRA admits responsibility for Fermanagh blast

The Continuity IRA has admitted responsibility for an attempted bomb attack on a police patrol in Co Fermanagh over the weekend.

The dissident republican group says it tried to detonate a landmine as the patrol passed near Rosslea on Saturday morning.

A loud bang was heard and a suspicious object was found a few hours later, but nobody was injured in the incident.

The PSNI says a security operation is continuing in the area.
