Three men arrested after fathers' rights M50 protest

Three men who mounted a protest on top of the M50 toll plaza in Dublin today have been arrested for trespassing.

Gardaí removed the men at around 12pm following their six-hour protest.

They were calling for better rights for unmarried fathers and hung a banner across the plaza which read 'first class dads, second class citizens'.

The men were taken to Blanchardstown garda station but were released a short time ago.

A file is being sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions in relation to the event.
