Man held after €250,000 cannabis seizure on M1

Gardaí in Co Louth have arrested a 23-year-old man following a cannabis seizure on the M1 last night.

Approximately €250,000 worth of the drug was found when a car was stopped and searched near the Dundalk South interchange.

The man in custody is understood to be from the local area.
