110 Irish soldiers due back from Chad this morning
The Irish soldiers who paved the way for the deployment of their colleagues in Chad are due to arrive home this morning.
Fifty members of the Ranger Wing were sent to the African country in February to help set up a base for Irish peacekeepers serving on an EU mission.
They are returning home today along with another 60 soldiers who helped with logistics in setting up the base.
The contingent was initially due back in Ireland on Monday, but their return was delayed due to a technical fault with their aircraft.
