Armed raiders hold up Dunnes in Dublin
Gardaí in Dublin are searching for two armed men who escaped with a substantial sum of money following a raid on a Dunnes Stores outlet in the south of the city last night.
The pair, who were wearing balaclavas and carrying what appeared to be a shotgun and a handgun, entered the premises in Rathmines at around 8.30pm.
The store was closed at the time, but five members of staff were still working.
Three of them were taken to a cash room, where they were threatened by the raiders.
No shots were fired or and nobody was injured during the incident.
The raiders made their getaway in a silver-coloured Ford Galaxy.
