Dublin man remanded in custody on firearms charges

A Dublin man has been remanded in custody charged in connection with a seizure of firearms and ammunition in Tipperary.

A Dublin man has been remanded in custody charged in connection with a seizure of firearms and ammunition in Tipperary.

26-year-old Edward Brannigan, with an address in Clondalkin, was one of four men arrested by Gardaí on Thursday.

He appeared before a special sitting on Cashel District Court last night.

Three others have been released without charge.

On Thursday, officers recovered sawn-off shotgun, a pistol and 30 rounds of ammunition near Limerick Junction railway station.

Mr Brannigan is due in court again on Tuesday.
