Harney says 'Fair Deal' scheme will be introduced shortly

Health Minister Mary Harney has told the Dáil that she expects to introduce the so-called Fair Deal scheme on nursing home care shortly.

The controversial scheme will require all patients to contribute to their long-term care according to their means.
