Cluster bomb conference begins at Croke Park

A historic treaty banning the use of cluster bombs could be agreed at a major diplomatic conference opening in Dublin today.

Delegates from up to 100 countries will be seeking to outlaw the munitions which are blamed for indiscriminately killing or maiming civilians in conflict zones for almost 60 years.
