INO members pass motion of no confidence in HSE

Members of the Irish Nurses Organisation (INO) have unanimously passed a motion of no confidence in the HSE due to overcrowding in A&E departments.

At its annual conference in Co Cavan this morning, the INO accused the HSE of gross mismanagement of A&E wards throughout the country.

Today's vote came just hours after a nurse was attacked at the A&E unit at the Mercy Hospital in Cork.

A man was arrested following the assault, but has since been released from custody.
