The parents of Diarmuid and Lorraine Flood have appealed for privacy as they try to come to terms with the tragedy that claimed the lives of the couple and their two young children.

The family of four were found dead following a fire at their home in Clonroche, Co Wexford, on Saturday morning.

The Gardaí are treating the deaths as suspicious, but no details about how the family died have been publicly disclosed.

Post mortem examinations are expected to be concluded today.

In a statement this morning, the parents of Mr and Mrs Flood appealed for privacy as they mourn the deaths.
