Thousands to protest at Sligo Hospital

Thousands of people are expected to take to the streets of Sligo today in protest over the health service.

They are demonstrating against the HSE's plan to remove breast cancer services from Sligo General Hospital.

All cancer care will be transferred to a new centre of excellence in Galway.

People from Sligo, Leitrim, Donegal and Roscommon will march through Sligo town this afternoon.
