Aer Lingus has rowed back on its decision not to honour transatlantic flights bought on its website for just €5, but the airline later cancelled the bookings, claiming the price was a technical error.

Yesterday, the National Consumer Agency said Aer Lingus had effectively entered into a contract with the customers and should offer some form of compromise.
