Gardaí recover body in search for Longford man

Gardaí investigating the disappearance of a 52-year-old Longford man have recovered a body.

The body has been identified as being that of Seamus Delaney who was last seen at his home in Ballymahon on Sunday, April 6.

His body was recovered from the Inny River near Ballymahon at 8pm on Thursday night.

A post mortem is due to be carried out later today at Mullingar General Hospital.
