Spanish fisherman airlifted to Cork hospital

A Spanish crewman has been airlifted to hospital in Cork suffering from a serious medical problem.

He was taken from a fishing vessel about 130 miles south of Mizen Head earlier this morning.

The Shannon rescue helicopter and the aircorps plane from Baldonnell were both involved in the operation.

The man will be treated at Cork University Hospital.
