Pensioner dies after Down house fire
A pensioner died in hospital today from injuries suffered in a fire at his home on Good Friday.
The man, in his 70s, and his wife were admitted to hospital following the fire at their home at Rathgill Place in Bangor, Co Down.
His wife remains in a serious condition and is being treated for the effects of smoke inhalation.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland said there was nothing to suggest the fire was suspicious, but inquiries are continuing.
