Animal-rights activists to protest in Kildare
Animal-rights activists will gather to protest at the Irish Greyhound Board's annual awards ceremony in Kildare later this afternoon.
The members of Greyhound Action are calling for an end to greyhound racing here.
They claim the Irish industry is responsible for the death of around 10,000 greyhounds every year.
The group also claims that more dogs are bred for the industry than are needed.
