Anti-war march taking place in Dublin

A march is underway in Dublin city centre commemorating the fifth anniversary of the invasion of Iraq.

Anti-war campaigners are making their way from the Garden of Rememberance to the GPO on O'Connell Street, where speeches are being held.

It is one of a number of demonstrations taking place across the world today.

The Labour Party's Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Michael D Higgins is one of those attending the Dublin march.

He says there are many reasons for today's march including the continuing disaster of thousands of Iraqis dying everyday and the failure of the international community to address the siege of Gaza.
